Produce Invoice Without Item Code?

Hi I was just wondering if its possible to produce invoices without having to have Item codes? Every time I try and fill in a description and produce an invoice it forces me to have an item code.

Hello, 

If you create a new invoice, just add a customer name and then enter the description without touching the item section and you should be able to create the invoice without the item code.

It worked for me!
