FX window gone

Hi guys, 

 

I got a maaaaaajor problem. I was editing my videos with a bunch of effects added and  animated a lot of them.

Then all of a sudden when I was trying some masking effects, when I push on the FX icon on the video on the sequence, the loose FX window doesn't show up anymore! It jumps straight to the clip preview and that's it.

I can't see any numeric details/metadata anymore of my added effects per video. 

And this in all my VP projects.

I'm kind of freaking out here because I have never had this problem before :-(

I rebooted and everything.. FX window is gone and stays gone.

Can anyone please help me out?

Does the effects window pop up when the video in the timeline sequence is first clicked ... and then, in the toolbar, you click on VIDEO EFFECTS?

Maybe it's at the edge of screen or covered by the Windows task bar.

Have you tried uninstall and reinstall VideoPad?

 No, in the toolbar, that icon with 'video effects' is different. That just shows you the fx you can put. The window I talk about is where you can see which ones are activated on the specific video and where you draw the graph for animation of the effect.

I moved every window I could move in there, undock, checked the view options etc.. No, I haven't tried to reinstall. I can safely do that? I never did that before. That means I have to download exactly the same version again or how does that go.. ? Maybe I'm being stupid here because I always thought that when you uninstall, you have to 'buy' it again because probably it isn't the same version anymore. I got 4.4 or something.. Anyway, with the dock/undock windows.. It's just that I never did that before with any software that I paid for :-D

Your current version exe file may be in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" folder.  Back up the project and run the installer again.

The latest is here.  Whether your license is valid for it depends upon when you purchased.  If problems arise check out this resource.
