Verena
Hello, I purchased today Video Pad, and I can't open any Video file. Not wmv, not mp4... nothing! The Program said just "failed to load file" Any Idea, why I have this Problem? I need urgently to work with Videopad, and hope I can start soon. Verena
I forgot! I'm using Windows 10!
Telephony
Hi, Please try the following: From the top menu use the "Open" folder icon , browse for the file and select to open. You can also use the "Add File+" icon from the top menu, browse for the file and click to open. Or drag and drop the file from the original folder location to the VideoPad window. .wmv, and .mp4 file formats are supported on VideoPad, you should be able to open and edit them. borate
Hello, I purchased today Video Pad, and I can't open any Video file. Not wmv, not mp4... nothing! The Program said just "failed to load file." If Telephony's ideas don't work for you, please share one or two of these unloadable files by uploading to Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc. and posting the link here. Someone will check them. You might also try a reinstall of Videopad.
Verena
I tried to repair Videopad. It did not work. I reinstalled, and installed it new. It does not work. But after I installed it new, it says that I have to install it as administrator. But I have no access to the administration and have really no idea how this works. I am the only user of my laptop, I don't know why I can install everything apart from Video pad! I also purchased wavepad, and this works without problem. I payed also for one month support. I wrote yesterday mail to the costumer service but no answer. So any Idea what I can do to start work with this program? The error code is 'ffmpeg19' Thank you for your help! borate
Right-click on the Videopad install file and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. See if that succeeds.
Verena
Thank you for your help, but this does not work.... The same error code. The program said that I should try to run it from: http://nch.com.au/co...ents/ffmpeg.exe but it is not possible to install from this link. The browser said, the publisher of 'ffmp bla' could not be verified! desperate regards....
borate
That link appears to be an NCH-supplied codec. Why it's needed separately from the standard VP installation is a mystery to me. Consider retrieving the latest Videopad installer from the NCH WEBsite. To get a clean install, it might be advisable to first use this free tool, which should clear out all remnants of failed installations. Just download the file and double-click on it to install. After the cleaning, you may have more success with a fresh install of Videopad.
Verena
I tried it. I uninstalled everything, and I have the same as before..... I hang now on this for MANY hours, and I get fed up. I purchased also the CD. I hope to get it proper installed with the CD.... may be the CD will be here in about 3 weeks. I have another laptop with old Windows XP. I hope that the program will run with it, until I have the CD. Do you know if the registration code runs with two different laptops? Many thanks for your help. borate
There may be a problem with available free space on your hard drive ... or something else. For NCH policies, see this document. The latest downloadable trial version should run on XP, if it has the disc, processor, etc. capacity to do so.
Verena
The ridicules thing is... when I tested Videopad, than it was running without any Problem! I was impressed how good the Program is. And now where I purchased, i can not work with it. I bring my laptop in the next days to the shop, and ask what is going on. I will come back here to the topic, afterwards. Many thanks for your support.
