LazyEditor
My settings http://prntscr.com/8efeg5 This keeps popping up http://prntscr.com/8efeqx CPU usage during rendering http://prntscr.com/8eff53 Export options http://prntscr.com/8effmv Windows 10 64 Bit Original file is in MP4, Not sure of the codec I just bought this program to find it's extremely slow, compared to other free editors out their (Including ones that can deliver 4K). So, what's wrong?
c_major
Hi, We've addressed this issue recently and exporting now uses multiple CPU cores. The change is applied to the next version which will be released in 1-2 weeks. Best regards,
LazyEditor
Is GPU acceleration in the update, planned or not going to be in VideoPad? Whilst monitoring my GPU during a render, their was no load on my graphics card.
c_major
We are using GPU acceleration for some of the effects. GPU is not going to help video processing much since the hardware architecture is mainly for games - imagine you need the amount of work as same as loading a game level to process each video frame. daorus
Just to mention: there are Open GL and that means what you say. But also there are Open CL, which allows to use GPU as an ordinary processor and therefore, it is possible to use GPU resources to render video x10 faster without 3D GL way of doing things. c_major
We've implemented most of the effects by using GPU for the next version. That's one of the reasons why it takes longer than usual to be released.
daorus
Please, point out starting from which version GPU render is supported.

muoshoukioo
Did VideoPad roll out GPU acceleration for rendering and other parts of the video editing process? I have a Nvidia GTX Geforce1060 Graphics card and an i7-8750H CPU 6 core processor. When I was editing, my CPU was incredibly high and my GPU very low. Wondering if I can utilize my computer's abilities better and get better results with the editing. Thanks!
borate
Look under OPTIONS|EDITING tab and toggle Use Hardware Acceleration. See if that changes things.

Hey, so I checked under options > editing and there was no „Use hardware acceleration“ toggle there :/ I´m having the same problem. Checked if the program was using the GPU but nope, nothing. And exporting is when I noticed how much strain this is putting on the CPU (and also how long it takes that way). If you have any tips for me they would be well appreciated. Thanks. Have a good day :)
borate
In most versions, this is what you should see... GPU usage is being reworked and should be even more useful in the future.
Huldar
Thanks Borate.... I am blind, guess I need better glasses But that is awesome that they are reworking the CPU usage, looking forward to that update. Though I ticked the box it still is not using my GPU. Looking into the SM2.0 but I´ve got directX 12 installed (I have no idea what that means I just did a quick google)
borate
That should have stated "GPU usage is being worked on." Install the latest video driver...
