Opacity abnormality with overlays

Hi

Version 3.24 (and possibly other 3.xx versions-haven't checked them) There is a fault associated with using the "Opacity" effect with any overlays, such as titles, images as well as clips if you reqire them to fade out.

If you make a fade in and then a fade out by setting keyframes for the opacity levels to rise from 0% to 100% and then from 100% back to 0%, when the sequence is played the overlay appears correctly to fade in and out but then reappears for an instant after it has faded out.

It seems like the final opacity setting (even if you drag the final keyframe marker as far to the right as possible) is not positioned on the last frame of the overlay clip which consequently plays at full opacity. Sliding the cursor along in the effects window shows the values correctly appearing to return to zero. Interestingly, the last frame shows it to be black and not the chequered pattern of a 0% opacity fame (like the first frame of the overlay) Why is that?

Using the sequence preview to show previous and next frames, it is a single end frame which remains unchanged.

The only way round this is to use the "Opacity" effect to fade in followed by the overlay clip "Fade" option to fade out.
