SMPTE timecode and 24 hour mark help needed.

Hi. I am having two separate issues with Express Scribe's timecoding fucntion.

1) Express Scribe will not read SMTPE timecode correctly. It shows a timecode that doesn't start at zero, but it is way off the mark and not even close to being correct. Any ideas?

2) To get around the above, I have been using a time offset and entering in the start timecode of my video files. However, whenever I have a timecode that rolls over from 23 hours to 0 hours, Express Scribe's counter continues on to the 24th hour, rather than a zero hour. So I get 24:00:00, rather than the correct 00:00:00.

Is there any way to change this?

Thanks!

Express Scribe will not read SMTPE timecode at all.

However, whenever I have a timecode that rolls over from 23 hours to 0 hours, Express Scribe's counter continues on to the 24th hour, rather than a zero hour. So I get 24:00:00, rather than the correct 00:00:00.

In Options -> Display, do you have "Time mode" set to "Recording time"?
