    IVM 4.03 Hang up

Just an update on this. I worked with the registration support and since I had problems with the basic features of the product, they updated my license so that I could use the product as it was meant to be used. Now that I have a fully functioning version again, I remebered what a great product this can be! Thank you for help nchto!

    IVM 4.03 Hang up

I understand that the support staff didn't write the software. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any other way to connect to someone in your company. I can't find an 800 number. I tried E-mail but they won't respond because I didn't pay the extra cost for support so this forum seems to me the only way to communicate with the company. As you can clearly sense, I am very frustrated with this product and this company. After spending $600+ for the software and CAHTA board, I do not have a piece of software that will answer my phone and send me an E-mail (version 4.02 has an bug in the E-mail sy

    IVM 4.03 Hang up

Hi, I tested 4.04 yesterday and it seemed to fix the issue of this hang up just like ti did in version 4.02. However, my license is not valid for this new release and they want ME to pay to fix the problem THEY caused in version 4.03. Come on guys. You made a mistake. It happens. Now, do the right thing and release a free fix to the problem. All I want to do is to be able to use the product as it was advertised. Nothing more. Please help
  7. Hi SP0, this is a problem with IVM version 4.03 and the CAHTA USB devices (maybe others too. - not sure). Personally, I have reverted back to an older version (4.02) of IVM which works OK but the E-mail doesn't work very well in this version. You can see more of a discussion on this topic here: http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=7271 As you can see from the posts, PALabs has contacted support and they said they would fix it in the next version but nody from NCH has commented on this issue in these forums (as far as I have seen anyway). If there is anyone from NCH mont

    IVM 4.03 Hang up

Hi PALabs, I already had a copy since IVM v4.02 was the current version when I first started using the software. I looked around the internet to direct you to a place to download it but could not find a file that was the same size as my version 4.02. Therefore, I just don't trust the contents of these files. What I will do is make my FTP server available with my copy v4.02 at ftp://tvk.homeip.net:53003/ (anonymous login) for about 24 hours. After that I am going on vacation and don't like to leave this server available to the internet. Please do your best to download in this time. If
  9. Hello, just wanted to update this one. I have since installed a CAHTA SHT 4B/USB but I still have the same problem. It seems that Autohours turn IVM answering mode off when trying to extend the number of rings after hours. Please help ...... Thank you

    IVM 4.03 Hang up

Hi Arjen, not sure if you say my update to my earlier post. I was having the same problem with a CAHTA SHT4B/USB 4 port telephone device. After days or testing and contacting Synway (see the details in my earlier post), I was able to trace it down IVM version 4.03 itself. The problem does NOT occur with version 4.02 as that is what I am using now. Unfortunately, the E-mail function doesn't work very well in this version of IVM but at least it answer calls . This is by no means a fix but I hope this will save you (or anyone who reads this) some time and frustration. Arjen, can yo

    IVM 4.03 Hang up

UPDATE!! Some success but clearly a problem in V4.03. Hello, I have been working on this since my last post and since nobody has replied, I have done my best to find a solution/work around. After removig the device and reinstalling I found that it seemed to work for aboiut 4 to 5 inbound calls and then it would hang up immediately on all subsequent calls (if there was no voice in the first 1-2 seconds). Clearly removing the device and reinstalling ever 4-5 calls is NOT an option. After further defining the problem, I tried the following changes in an attempt to fix the issue. Here
  12. I am also looking for these specialized drivers that are mentioned on the website. I have installed my SHT-4B/USB with the latest drivers from synway but it is still dropping calls.

    IVM 4.03 Hang up

Hello, I am having the same problem after installing a CAHTA SHT-4B/USB. I used a voice modem previously and it generally worked well (except it didn't pick up caller ID every time). The new CAHTA USB device is picking up caller ID every time and always answers after the 3 rings that IVM is set to answer. However, after answering, the CAHTA board hangs after 1-2 seconds unless I am talking during these first 1-2 seconds. I have tried all of the settings mentioned above in IVM but the results don't change. If I do speak during the first 1-2 seconds, the rest of the call works as expected
  14. Hello, I've been using IVM (now v 4.03) as a basic IVR with one voice modem and four mailboxes for about 6 months now and have found it performed pretty well. Recently, I tried to add the feature of "AutoHours" to increase the number of rings outside the standard hours to 5 (versus 3 during regular hours) and found it didn't work as expected. When I selected the "Increase number of rings to .... 5", IVM stooped answering calls (outside the regular hours). IVM gwould give the message: AOpen FM56-PLX Controllerless PCI Modem Unknown [Not Answered, IVM answering mode is off] I tire
  15. Hey folks, I just installed IVM 4.03 (available at http://www.nch.com.au/ivm/index.html and select "Download IVM") and my E-mail problems have gone away! I still use a third party smtp server but the program now sends the E-mail on its first attempt every time. Just thought I'd share the good news. BTW, I did have one problem after I installed the update. I couldn't save to a network folder any more. I found that the reason for this is that the installation of IVM sets up the service to logon as a system account that doesn't have permissions to the network. To resolve this I simply ch
  16. *** UPDATE to this post. After switching to the third party SMTP server, the mail isactually working!! However I still get the ""Mail send error (RCPT TO not accepted)....." error but the IVM software keeps retrying until it eventually works. The error can happen from 1 time to more than 10 times before the mail is actually sent. I haven't used the IVM software long enough to say there is a typical number of times this error appears. So, I mostly funtional but it still be nice to use my ISP's SMTP server.
  17. Hi, I am trying to connect to my ISP's (Rogers) SMTP server using smtp.broadband.rogers.com. I also tried smtp.broadband.rogers.com:587 in case this port might work but no difference. I know Rogers closes port 25 as I tried to access a third party's smtp server on port 25 but had no success until I switched to port 587 (the third party supported these two ports on their smtp server). I have switched to this third party's smtp server for IVM with intermittent success. The third party is hosted by www.netfirms.ca but I access using my personalized address of smtp.scrapbookmemories4u.ca:5
  18. Hi folks, I am new to this software and I am getting the same error as mentioned earlier. (MAIL FROM not accepted). Everything elses seems to work except the E-mail function. I have tried using Eudora, Outlook Express and Outlook as mail clients and all of them could send and receive mail but the error from IVM remained the same. I have followed the steps from http://www.nch.com.au/kb/10006.html (correctly I hope ) but agin, I still get the error. I am running the following currently: Win XP IVM 4.02 Outlook 2003 (with only one account so I belive it is the "default" mentio
