Dear Michele,
Sounds like you're doing a little outbound telemarketing, huh? Well, you should have no problem. I have set the dialer going for days on end and had no problem. Now, if you are ONLY doing outbound dialing, what I suggest you do is make a new OGM named something clever like HANGUP. One of the problems you will run into when making this volume of calls is that people will call you back off of the caller ID, and god only knows what they will do at that point... Pressing buttons, etc. Or calling and leaving THEIR phone off of the hook.. So, what you do is set up an OGM named Hangup. Where it says Out Going Message Audio, you can record a second of silence. If you REALLY want to get fancy, you can record whatever message they play in the UK for a disconnected number. I prefer a second of silence so it will get them off of the phone faster.
In the next box where it says End of the Message, set both Wait and Repeat to 0. Where it says Then, select Hangup (Immediate). Make sure List as an Answer OGM has a check mark.
Now, on the main screen where it says Default Answer OGM, select the new OGM you have created, Hangup. Now, when these jerks call in and screw up your dialer, it will pick up the phone, and then hang up on them immediately. Write me back and let me know if this solved your problem. Or if you Email me a copy of your OGM, I will take a look at it for you.
Yours Truly,
David Slaton
