  1. It could be your component files are messed up.

    Please try this:

    1. Close VideoPad.
    2. Delete everything in components folder using windows explorer: C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components
    3. Restart VideoPad and export again.

You'll need internet access when you do so. The components will be automatically downloaded from our server when you export again.

  2. VideoPad doesn't output the file name in the video automatically.

Some video players like VLC displays the file name at the beginning of the movie. Simply try another player (e.g. Window Media player) if this is the case.

The sequence preview should show you exactly what will be exported, only in different resolution.

    Best regards.

  3. Hi Nat,

Was the exported result from v3.89 is same as the preview or out of sync?

However each time the audio was moved (with the Ctrl key), the wave form on the track being moved disappeared leaving a line with no particular peaks visible which meant one had to guess the movement and made the adjustment somewhat hit and miss.

Could you please upload a screen shot?

    Thanks.

  4. Hi,

If there are too much trouble to upload the project please don't spend too much time on it, that's fine.

I tried these steps to reproduce the problem:

    1. Unlink the audio from video.
    2. Save it as a separated sound file.
    3. Change the sound file to a different of sample rate and even a different format.
    4. Import the sound file in, align it up with the video.
    5. Export the project.

Aligning (lip syncing) the audio with the video was difficult, we should do something to make it easier. However I couldn't find any sync. issue and there is no difference compare the exported clip to the sequence preview.

    Am I missing something here?

  5. To pack project files into one file:

    1. Open the project in VideoPad.
    2. From main menu, choose File->Backup Project Files To Folder. It will copy all files including the project (.vjp) file into your specified folder.
    3. Zip the folder into a file.

You can share it on DropBox and PM me the link.

    Thanks.

  6. Hi Lola,

I'm sorry for the troubles. If only the latest version causing the problem, I'd suggest you rollback to the early version you've used and get the job done first.

We store all the installation files for previously installed versions in the application folder. You can locate the application folder by checking the properties of the shortcut icon. For example on Windows 7 it would be: C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad.

If you can't find the previous installation file, please contact our support team to get one.

If that proven there is a bug in the latest version, we'd like to get your help to fix it. If you can upload your project files on DropBox/Google drive, please PM me with the links. Please note that we can not work on your project, those files are only used as testing materials. I'll post here if the bug is found and fixed.

    Best regards.

P.S. I would also like to ask if anyone else here got the same problem?

  7. Hi Lupusbalo,

Just confirmed VideoPad currently doesn't handle PAR comes with the video.

I've filed a proposal to our team including:

    1. Handle PAR from the metadata, stretch the video accordingly.
    2. Allow change aspect ratio of the clip without adding an effect.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

  8. Hi,

We've just added lossless transcoding in the latest version. This feature is designed for exporting h.264 clips with minimal editing. Sections without effects and transitions will be exported much faster. This might be what you wanted.

You can find and enable this feature in: Video Options->Export->Other->Enable lossless video exporting.

On the other hand, VideoPad does support multi-core on exporting. I just tried exporting a few projects and it was utilizing 100% of the CPU (i7 4 cores, 8 logical processors). I'm not sure how it works under Xeon though.

    Best regards.
