Please also refer to this to see if you can find an answer. http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=24 With the free version, you can use all the advanced features of the Master Edition for 14 days. After 14 days, these features will be disabled; however, you still can use all other features of WavePad.

    Apply effects

Most of the effects in WavePad apply only to the selected region, so you need to select a region in order to use them. To mark the selected region you can either click and hold down on the wave window and drag the mouse or press and hold down the shift key while moving in the file. To select the entire file press Ctrl+A.
  19. Can you check if your microphone is connected to your PC?
  20. There is a way to get around this problem: ~ Play the music by using WavePad ~ At the same time, record your voice by using RecordPad. RecordPad is available to download from our website at www.nch.com.au/recordpad. ~ After finish recording your voice in RecordPad, save it as a file on your local drive. ~ Now use the option Edit->Mix File in WavePad to mix the voice file with your music track file.

    Distortion

You may try to lower the record volume. Turn down the record volume by 10db and test it; if the sound is still distored then continue to turn down by 10db. Just repeat the steps until you get the sound with the expected quality. The record volume that we usually recommend to our customers is -30db.
  22. We will work on the "automatically unwrapping" function in future release of WavePad.
  23. Unfortunately, WavePad can't edit very long file. We will work on it in the future releases of WavePad.
