Using Wavepad on MacBook Pro, OS Catalina v10.15.14 -- Interface: Focusrite Scarlett Solo (2nd gen) The Scarlett Solo has two inputs, #1 for an XLR mic, and #2 for an instrument, with a switch to toggle between line or instrument gain. Wavepad will record from Input #1, no problem. But will not record any audio from input #2, even when I select "Input 2" from the pulldown menu in Preferences. In fact, even with "Input 2" selected, it will still record audio from "Input 1" if there is a live mic connected there. Using Garage Band, I was able to select and record audio from either input, so the issue is definitely with the Wavepad software. Any ideas?

After posting http://nch.invisionz...udio-interface/ yesterday, I have found that the issues exist with not just the Helix but also with my UA Apollo Twin. When using an external interface: 1) I can play pre-recorded tracks until I record - see 2; 2) I can record on tracks but when I attempt to replay them the system locks and will not play back any tracks. 3) On reaching this point MixPad will not play back or record any tracks unless I close and re-open Mixpad - then I am back to stage 1. The problem appears to be the audio device setting under Mixpad, Preferences. If this is set to built-in, Mix pad works even if recording from an external interface but to listen you have to use the computer output. It will also work on the default output setting IF the system is set to use its inbuilt audio. Any other setting here causes the chain listed above. Mixpad is not practical for me to use to me as it stands but I think it will be an excellent software choice when it does work so hopefully you can help! Has anyone else come across this issue on MacOSX? Thanks.

I'm (finally) transitioning my home office from Windows 7 to Mac OSX, and one of the last things I've attempted is moving Express Talk. I installed the free version on OSX (10.10 Yosemite) and tried to use my old registration information to activate the business upgrade I bought. No dice: must de-activate the Windows installation first. Okay, no problem, did it and was able to activate the OSX program. Cool. I made sure all settings in the OSX version matched those in the Win7 version (OSX is missing the GSM codec as an option). I'm on the same home network that successfully carried SIP traffic just yesterday. OSX is not running a firewall, so no ports to manage there, and the network router is unchanged. The instant I try to initiate a call, it hangs up and kicks back: Attempting to register sip: blah blah blah Register attempt for proxy sip: blah blah blah 403 Forbidden I installed the free X-Lite program just to double-check, and I was able to get some throughput (it has some internal routing issues of its own, which is why I went with ET), so there is some SIP communication, but ET acts like I'm not even connect to the Internet when I try to make a call. Anyone else had a Mac setup that worked? Other topics on this forum either have cookie-cutter responses or no responses. Hope this doesn't become another victim Thanks in advance.
