With all your images on the timeline Click one of the transition X s between the clips and then set the box at the bottom of the transition window (See Borate's post above ) to Apply to All Clips (Click the little down arrow to see the choices.) Now click the transition you want. All the clips will have this transition placed between them. Note that there is Random transition choice.
