costertag
All the other software loads relatively quickly. But Debut takes so much longer is is aggravating. Any suggestions. Thanks
DannR
Try doing a clean install and delete all the cache of the program. Uninstall your software first, then go to the folder location below on your computer then delete the Debut folders: C:\ProgramData\NCH Software C:\Users\(Your computer profile)\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Debut If you can't find the AppData folder, set Windows to show hidden files and folders with the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files. After deleting the Debut folder, restart your computer then install it again from the next link: http://www.oldversiondownload.com/oldversions/debut-6-02-2020-02-04.exe
costertag
Thanks for the response. I did this previously and there were no hidden files to delete. I checked every folder under ....NCH and nothing there so I assume the uninstall was clean, unless I am missing something. Still takes more time than I expect to load but I can deal with it. The other issue is the static noise which is resolved by going to the old version but I like the options in the new version, easier to move around. I have opened a ticket to NCH support. Thanks for the comments and support.
furryface47
You may not be seeing some of the folders because they may be hidden. Go to Control Panel and select File Folder Options then click the View tab. Look for hidden files and folders and select the button to view hidden files and folders and click OK. Once you have finished you should go back into this control panel and switch it back to don't show hidden files and folders.
