OncomingStorm
Hi there, I'm new to the forum, so be gentle! I've recently upgraded to V3.12 and am having some serious issues with it. Exporting a 15 second clip takes nearly 15 minutes. Is this normal? I know that in 2.41 is was around the 5 minute mark for me, so three times the time is terrible. As soon as I start VP, the processor usage hits (and stays) at 100%. Again, this didn't happen in 2.41 Is there any way to fix either of these problems? Thanks
Nationalsolo
Hi 15 minutes seems a bit long and I think this may be a PC speed problem. I can't check rendering time for a 15 second IMAGE clip as VP 3.xx has a fault.- It can't render a single image or the last image on the timeline as I have noted elsewhere! However, a 15 second 1280 x 720 MPEG4 video clip was saved as a HD 720 avi in 2 minutes on a dual core Packard Bell computer running at 2.2 Ghz and 2 Gb of RAM The versions 3.xx save more data than 2.41 for the same sequence so if upgrading is out then I might think of going back to 2.41 if rendering time is important. I can hear my PC speeding up dramatically with these versions and they still run slow. Nat
OncomingStorm
Thanks for that. I've had to go back to 2.41 as 3.xx is pretty much unusable. Any idea if my license still works on an older version? EDIT: 2.41 exports the same video in 4m 25s - 1/3 of the time of 3.12! What's happened to the new version?
