dsmiller_com
I'm about to give up on this... I've been using IVM for the company I work for at home for a few months now. Last night I upgraded from WinXP to Vista-32 bit. I downloaded new drivers for my Zoom 3025C modem and a the latest version of IVM - 4.11 I got it all set up, and the IVM Call Simulator works fine, but when I receive a call, the OGM's not playing through the phone and it doesn't play the record tone, so callers don't know when to start speaking. I've tested it with a second line in my home, and did a test message once the status says 'Recording file:...' and it recorded me just fine. I assume its a sound issue since I'm not even hearing the record tone. In IVM version 4.11, there is no 'Devices' tab in Settings, only a 'Telephony' tab which does have my modem listed there. I assume the modem is operational because it does pick up the calls when it's supposed to and the Caller ID is working when a call does come in. Under the 'Audio' tab, I have everything currently set to default as that is how I had it before when it worked under WinXP. If I try to change the 'Play Device' or 'Call Announce' devices, I can no longer play the OGM through the OGM settings in IVM and it still doesn't play through the phone line during a test call. When I attempt to then play the OGM through the OGM settings, I get an error that says 'Unable to play this OGM. It is possible that the OGM simply has not been recorded [yes, it has]. Please check that you have selected the correct Play Device on the Devices Tab [what Devices tab?] of Settings and that your sound card is not being used to play something else." I don't get why I can't get it to work. Anyone out there familiar enough with Vista and IVM that could help me out before I just call my service provider and set up a voicemail account through them?
