ID3 v1 or v2 TAG support is faulty

I'm evaluating Switch v1.05. There are many things I really like about the product and am inclined to register and pay for the FULL version.

 

There is one defect you would HAVE to fix however.

 

When Switch is used to re-sample MP3 files, and mor than ONE MP3 file is converted at a time, the ID3 tag info from the FIRST INPUT FILE is copied to ALL OF THE OUTPUT FILES.

 

Also, the Title tag is truncated to 29 characters.

 

Also, the Comments tag is truncated to 28 characters.

 

If you can fix these problems, I an IN.

thanks for bringing these issues to our attention, we'll do our best to fix them. Although bear in mind the title and comments tag truncation may be deliberate, because we only currently support ID3 v1.1, we don't support v2 yet. I'm pretty sure only v2 allows longer fields.

Any idea when it might be available?

I my case I am losing all the tags (v1 or v2 is unknown) when converting MP3's from >128Kbps to 128Kbps. I am using a registered version of Switch V1.05

Hmm this is strange, I just did a series of tests, converting a half dozen or so mp3s with different ID tags to mp3 format at a different bitrate - it worked perfectly! I am not sure how to get it to fail....
