Hulk
I tried to save my file as WMA but a message came up saying I don't have the codec. I downloaded WMP 10 and it still doesn't work. How do I fix this? And heres what I dont understand: My voice recorder saves files as WMA, I opened it up, edited it, and it wont save it! How is that possible, I must have the codec since it opened it in the first place, right?
Kilmatead
I must have the codec since it opened it in the first place, right? Not necessarily. To read a format and to encode within it are two different things. The easiest way to ensure you have all the most commonly used codecs (in all their permutations - for example, WMA itself is comprised of more than one 'type') is to use a codec pack... ...such as Vista Codec Pack.
