Problems Playing Long Files

Whenever we are playing a file that's longer than about 3 hours and 5 minutes--or we try to split a long file between two transcribers--the file starts playing from the beginning of the sound file. If I'm typing, and I hit the foot pedal to pause, and then play again, the audio goes right back to the beginning, even though the time stamp reads over 3 hours.

 

Does anyone else have this problem or resolutions?

Yes, I have had this problem too and it's very frustrating as it takes me so very long to finish up the minutes. I would like to know myself if there is a way that this can be prevented or is it just a manufacturer's defect?

No, I've been told it's the software, so whoever does the recording will just have to make shorter files.
