Can I use Express Scribe to control iTunes

I want to use a foot pedal to control itunes. Is that doable or do I have to put the audio file into Express scribe?

Express Scribe is specifically designed for transcribing. If you have a file that needs to be transcribed, you will need to upload it into Express Scribe.
