Making corrections as I am recording

I am a beginner on Wavepad and have not found yet the method to stop the recording and go back a few seconds in it, and replace a section, or restart/continue the recording from a previous point. When I realize I want to change a word, or remove a stumble, a hesitation, or sg. I simply would like to slide a bar back, and start the recording from that point. I would be grateful if you could explain to me how to do it. I am totally old school, and only want to use this one single tool in any voice recording. Thank you so much in advance!!

Press the PAUSE button || (bottom-left) to momentarily stop recording.  Press it again to resume.

To make a fix, slide the bar to the cut point, then hold down the left mouse button while parked on the cursor and swipe right, to make a selection.

Press DEL on the keyboard.  The selection is deleted.

Press the RECORD button to resume from that point.
