Guest mike Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Hi ...just trying out switch.........very nice. Has anyone tried encoding using the ogg vorbis encoder supplied with fruity loops ......uses the .wav extension and is listed amongst the wav codecs........some files convert fine but others do not even though they were encoded from the same wav/pcm format.File properties seem ok and the file size is correct but no sound. Support for this codec seems non existant ,I don't think this problem is related to switch unless something is happening to the tags.
Guest Guest Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Time to answer my own question......... The problem appears to only occur when encoding in mono.....stereo is fine I converted a lrge amount of samples in a painleesly small amount of time....great program. What functions are lost after 14 days? cheers....mike
nchtj Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 see the sticky thread about switch 1.05 to find a link to ogg directshow codecs that will allow you to play any proper ogg vorbis file fine in windows media player or other directshow players. why fruity loops is creating ogg files with a .wav extension I do not know, that is certainly odd.
