How to lower volume on MixPad

Hello, I can easily up the volume of at any point in my track by creating those little squares and either pulling them up or down, or else I use the up and down arrows. But when I want to lower the volume, it goes from 0 to -7, any idea why? I do manage, with a lot of effort to go from 0 to -1, but other than that it is -7, -12, -14, which is often far too much. There must be a way to fine tune, like I do when I want to up the volume, surely? I have been wasting a lot of time trying to find the digits in between, but no luck so far.

You can try to Normalize the audio and check the result.  You can go to the Tools tab > More Tools > Normalize.
