I'm relatively new to audio editing and could use some assistance with a task that might be routine for many of you. I have a stereo recording that I'd like to split into separate left and right channels, but I'm unsure about the best approach.

Are there user-friendly tools or software that you'd recommend for a beginner to achieve this task?Any step-by-step guidance on how to split a stereo recording into distinct left and right channels?

  EDIT menu | Split File | Split into Component Channels.  Then click the tab on the toolbar for the desired channel.
