Irvin
Dear All, We have a number of staff using Express Scribe who cannot load audio due to their limited user rights. To get around this, I have used Instsrv.exe & Srvany.exe from the W2K Resource Kit Tools to load Scribe.exe as a Service with Local System Account privilages. This works fine under W2K & XP. At boot-up, scribe.exe loads and standard users can access all of the app's functions. If they log-off or close the program they have to reboot to get these privilages back but at least it works... I've simplified the setup process by creating a batch file and a Reg file for distribution across my organisation. If anyone wants further info then post back and I'll be glad to send on the files that I used. CU Irvin
