bumblebee001
I have the basic free version. conversion from ap to mp3 is without hitch. on playing back the mp3 file I noticed on several occasions that the beginning (the first couple of seconds) is clipped off. Why? What;s the solution to prevent this?
nchtj
you probably have version 1.11, please download 1.12 off our website : http://www.nch.com.au/switch I'm guessing you must be using an Ape DirectShow filter ? Since we have not put support for it in the product, I'm guessing that is what you are doing.
bumblebee001
I downloaded and installed the new version. Will ty it out. Regarding: "I'm guessing you must be using an Ape DirectShow filter ? Since we have not put support for it in the product, I'm guessing that is what you are doing."....... not too sure what you mean. I simply used Switch to convert an *.ape file to *.mp3 and I noticed that, on playing the mp3 file created, the music starts abruptly, a few notes into the piece. nchtj
1) ape isn't supported on windows by default 2) ape isn't supported natively by our software 3) the only way ape decoding will work in switch is if you have installed a third-party filter.
