janwalker
Having worked with Videopad 6.10 from 2018 (still functioning flawless in 2023), I decided it was about time to upgrade to version 13.50, and enjoy all new features. But quite a disappointing experience was that the often used subtitle-function in my case seems to have become troublesome: I am used to add new subtitles straight on the right position in the video while editing. For example: when in version 6.10 the cursor points at 03:00.234 a newly added subtitle positions at exact that location. In version 13.50 however it seems to place added subtitles by default at the start of the video. Or you have to manipulate a lot between the video-editor and subtitle window to get it on the right position. Quite time consuming and frustrating... I often change position, colours and size of specific subtitles within the same video. Though only applying it to 'selected subtitle', very often the specific colour etc. automatically spreads its wings to all subtitles (though I really choose to apply it to the 'selected' subtitle only...). What can I do about this (except for returning to good old 6.10)?
borate
Move the subtitle cursor to the desired spot. Type the text. Click APPLY. Sub_position.mp4 Click APPLY TO SELECTED SUBTITLES prior to making changes. Both functions seem to be working in v13.50 here. janwalker
Tnx a lot for your answer & solution. Both parts of your answer do work, though I'll have to get used to enter 'apply' before changing (quite opposite compared to 6.10). And thanks to your post I discovered the separate subtitle-cursor, hidden in the left corner, which, when discovered, is not very difficult to use. So problems solved, though alltogether I do not really understand this 'change of logics' at NCH/ Videopad.
