Tips to adjust speed to fit timeframe

Hi again,

I'm not sure if this will be something that has a fix or solution.  I'm working to adjust clip speed slightly so that the footage fits to a set timeframe.  At the moment, I've just been experimenting with the speed percentage.  I wondered as I am doing this if there is any option to do the reverse - set a duration, and have the clip adjust speed to match?

One approach...

Position the cursor at the head of the clip, using the ||< and >|| buttons under the preview window.

Right-click the clip and Change Clip Speed.  Click In the Duration column and enter the desired time.   

  If you need to see the duration that the clip occupies, mouse over the clip.  A pop up will list it...  

Click Set.  All clips will ripple to accommodate the new speed.
