Guest Maruuk
Ok, the "Help" is very vague on this. Is the only way to save out of the Scribe Pad as "Save As" which saves in .DCT format? Otherwise, you have to cut-and-paste into a separate word processor, right? And this .DCT format saves both the basic text and a little associated info, like which .wav file you're using to transcribe from, right? But basically, you're supposed to just use your own word processor and use the Scribe Hot Keys for transport control. Am I missing anything here? nchpeter
Generally the typepad on Express Scribe is not meant to replace your word processor. The only reason why we include it is that sometimes you want more control over playback than you can get with hot keys or a pedal. In those particular cases you can use the typepad but ultimately you need to copy the text out.
