Plays fine in VideoPad but exported video does not

Greetings.

I am creating a video consisting of text and still images. It is basically a video tutorial of how to build something.  I took a bunch of pictures during the build with the idea I'd put together a video describing the process.  So the sequence is just a bunch of:  TEXT | Picture | TEXT | Picture | TEXT | Picture...

There are no transition effects, just clips right after each other. I also have a background audio clip, but for purposes of testing, I even removed that to make the project more simple.

When I play the video inside VideoPad it plays fine.  However, when I export the video, it looks like VideoPad is erroneously writing the clips to the MP4 so I get sections of the video that that look like this:

https://phx02pap004files.storage.live.com/y4mTAuaz8SltvtvvjEBMlp-a57xKqv0qjFaj42ONd82ZCnGp8hystmHrJj-0sTMqNntACM2NJruza4ZWhM3LoY6RmMShZWEuEIrG8y54-x21xJaWwkZ2IP90QBS-fHYNKGnb5ZNzkpk1Gj37oLmKFtIHAz5sbfXvGb7l5T-puOhVQpkHBBCmnvDr5bG21OPC5wO?width=972&height=588&cropmode=none

My video when complete is just over 9 minutes long, and this happens throughout the video.

To troubleshoot, I started dropping 2 clips onto the sequence at a time and generating the video after each drop. With just 7 clips, I see this weird behavior when saving the video.

I am using VideoPad Professional v13.16 on Windows 11.

Any help would be appreciated!

Odd.  Install this release.

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

If this issue persists, please share the project.

Someone will take a look and come up with a fix.  The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.  Just follow these steps...

  •     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
  •     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
  •     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
  •     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

👍

Initial testing looks good with that release. I only tested with 8 clips. I'll get to re-creating the entire video later and give another update.

Yup, everything looks good now. I recreated the entire project and after saving it to MP4 it played perfect.

So the updated version solved the problem. Thanks!
