Changing Color of Black Bars After Cropping Video

Hi all, I cropped (or maybe zoomed in on) a video clip.  I didn't want to fill up the whole screen to preserve the clarity of the image.  How do I change the color of the black bars that show up on either side of the video clip?

Thank you. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do that. I wish there was an option to change it on one track.

If you want to work with a single track, complete the above then click the + to the right of the Sequence 1 tab, to create a new, blank sequence 2.

Then click the SequenceS tab above the bin (top-left) and drag Sequence 1 to the timeline.  Now you can ignore (but not delete) Sequence 1.

This is a composite, with effects, transitions, audio embedded that can be exported independent of Sequence 1.
