trevorc
I am having a bit of trouble with the software when I try to convert from.wav to.mp3 AFTER the wav has been created in AUDACITY (the reason I do this is because, especially for "live" tracks, I like to fade in & fade out the track). The message I get is "Cannot open the file ..... because the required ACM codec is not installed on this PC. Please note I used to do this conversion fine on my old PC using Musicmatch version 8, but then I got a new PC & it has never worked since - I now get a mnessage about "incompatible audio file formats" from Musicmatch. So I thought Musicmatch must have been corrupt, but of course it isn't because when I try it to perform a conversion to either an old file that I'd run through Audacity ages ago or a new file which hasn't been run through Audacity, it works perfectly well. I came upon Switch & thought I'd try it, and got the same results. So my belief is that the problem must lie with the missing ACM codec, but how do I find out which one it is, and where do I get it from. Hope you can help.
