addressed Text editor not working properly?

I am a new user, so I may make my own mistakes, however:

I start a plain new Add Text. This text must be in White color.
But I cannot change it.

Also some of the other functions do not work, or should I say, don't execute an Update after selecting:

Changing Font size, Bold, Underline/Italic, etc. does not work.
Changing the primary color of the font itself does not work, however changing the Shadow color does work.
Changing Outline and text location also does work okay.

Version v12.28 64bit Nov 24.

All functions are working.  But you must first select (swipe) the text...
