How to Export Animated Composition as Video with Transparent Background?

Hi!

I want to export my animated composition as a video with transparent background. I have checked the "No background" in the composition settings, and see a checkered background. But nomatter which video format I select, I get a solid black background(!) in my rendered file.

What to do?

I have requested that the codecs for alpha channel are included for MOV (QuickTime), but the tech supporter said this would not be implemented. That is really sad, as when one has created an animation - it cannot be incoorporated in another video project. Big Loss of value here!

If you're using VideoPad, I believe there is an option to add an Express Animate animation to a sequence.

If not, try using the APNG export option in Express Animate settings. That should do the trick.
