Cannot Capture Video

I can see the image I want to record. Both from a VHS of Webcam, but when I hit Record , nothing happens. I noticed I could take a still photo.  The error message is, Cannot Connect To The Device. I would appreciate any help, Thanks.

Hi,

Please try the following:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click on My Computer.
3. Select 'Properties'.
4. On the 'Hardware' tab of System Properties, click the "Device Manager" button.
5. Review the status of devices listed under "Imaging Devices" and/or "Sound, video and game controllers" in Device Manager.
6. Ensure there is no yellow "?" or "!" next to the camera or video controller device.
7. If a yellow "?" or "!" is present, reinstall the drivers for the device from either the CD or the manufacturer's website.
8. If there is only an entry for "unknown device", or no entry for the device at all, install the drivers for the device from either the CD or the manufacturer's website
