Arkenzaru
Hi all, I'm fairly new to VideoPad and I had loaded up an MKV video which comes with a separate .ass file for the subtitles. I have no problems importing the MKV file and is able to play it within VideoPad but when I drag the video file towards the bottom of the screen [Video Track 1] and click on the Subtitles on the tools on top, a new window pops up which allows me to: Add, Auto Generate, Load, Save etc etc. I then tried to Load the .ass file that's located within the same folder of the MKV file but to no avail. It just gives me an error of ' Could not open the subtitles file. ' Is there any possible fix for this or am I loading the .ass file wrongly? I tried using VLC to test if the .ass file is faulty but it works fine there, so I think it's just an exclusive error to VideoPad. If there's anyone experienced with VideoPad that can assist me, that would be nice, thanks in advance. edit: I also tried it with another MKV file with another .ass file which also gave me the same error. borate
ASS isn't currently supported, but may be in the future. But it's easy to convert to a usable file type. See https://subtitletools.com/convert-to-srt-online or try https://gotranscript.com/subtitle-converter and covert to SSA or VTT Load the converted file into Videopad. You may have to make adjustments to font, sizing, etc.
