All of a sudden when I go to convert from wave to mp3 files it gives me the message ACM codec file is not installed on this computer. I follow the instructions which lead me to the message that codec 1 is missing. Wen I try to find codec one the microsoft site just says "error". Can anone hel me? nchtj Posted September 1, 2006 Share Posted September 1, 2006 the wav file you are converting from is using a codec that is not installed on your machine. if you like, try to open the file in notepad (it may take 30 secs or so) , and then copy and paste the first couple of lines into a post, and I'll see what codec it needs.
