Desktop Icons , photos , Music , all replaced with wave BLUE BOX with White Wave in it

Hi I used Wave to take Audio out of Video , but it appears to have hijacked  all Desktop icons labelling them as either Aud or Grf  nothing is recognizable 

Any help would be very appreciated

Hi, based on your description, it sounds like WavePad was set to be the default program to open such files. You should be able to change this by going to Windows > Settings >  Apps > Default Apps.

You may set your default apps as you please, or you may reset it by clicking the "Reset to the Microsoft recommended defaults" button.
