CoffeeCow
Hi! I've been using VideoPad for a good while now and it has been great. But when I downloaded the new version (7.25) I ran into some issues. I'm making a video using only images on multiple tracks, the lowest background images are quite large so they can slowly move across the screen. At first all of these images changed into letterbox mode with the new version, but I was able to fix that with the "Crop and zoom" - aspect ratio. But now these images go into the letterbox - format during transitions (I mostly use Cross-Fade to softly transition between images). Also some smaller images do the same during transitions. Is there any way I could fix this? Or is there a way to download an older version of the program so I can finish my project without this problem? borate
Test the new Aspect Ratio effects options. Also, under the preview window, choose MATCH MONITOR. It is best to complete and export a project with the VP version that created it. Usually, backwards compatibility is good. But recent versions have changed the manner in which certain effects/aspects are handled, which may cause anomalies with projects from earlier builds. If you don't succeed, please share your project so others can analyze it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT.
CoffeeCow
Thank you, I was able to fix it. Apparently I needed to add the "Letterbox to Aspect Ratio" - effect to the images before doing anything else, and that fixed the problem.
borate
Yes, the improved architecture facilitates mixed aspect ratios better than the old. MATCH MONITOR is automatically determined by your monitor and should be pretty much WYSIWYG.
