Mike P
I have put a fade effect on one of my clips but it doesn't stay on it. When I go to work on other parts of the video, it goes away and I have to re-set it. Any way to save that effect on the clip?
borate
Odd. What VP version? Upload the project as it is stands now on the timeline and indicate here what effect was applied to which clip. Here's how... . http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Someone will check it out.
Mike P
I have version 7.10 About 40 seconds in, I have a title card that I'm trying to do a slow fade into and it doesn't hold once I set it. I can play it once but if I do anything else on the timeline, that fade goes away. borate
Exported the project at 1920x1080, with a two-second crossfade transition into the Meredith slide. Looked fine. What rate were you applying to the Meredith slide? Was this a crossfade from the previous scene or a cut to black, then a fade up on the slide? Does it also fade out? At what rate? Four files were listed as missing...

borate
You did not answer the queries about the 'fade.'
Mike P
Thanks for this. Sorry I did not answer. I was trying to do a 4 second slow fade in of that title by using the effects cube in the bottom left corner of the title. I would do that and set it but it would not stay. borate
Confirmed, and bug filed. Open the effects window and choose the transparency effect instead. Place the scrubber (red line) at the head of the clip. Click the small green + sign that is above the graph. That sets the first keyframe. At the four-second mark drag the blue line up to 100%. That will set the second keyframe. It should look like this...
