Audio being corrupted by VideoPad

I have put a 5 hour and 4 minute mix into VideoPad, and have video for the first 3 minutes or so

My problem is VideoPad is corrupting and distorting the last 30 or so minutes of the mix, one small part of the audio repeats very quickly nonstop until the end of the mix. 

The MP3 itself is fine, I went back and checked it. Can VideoPad not handle long audio files? Is there a limit? Is there a fix to this? I've tried removing the audio and replacing it, same issue every time. The audio up until that point is fine.

Are you using the latest version (4.58)? Please try it if not.

There was an issue for long audio files but had been fixed sometime ago.
