offpaul
Hi sorry if this has been covered before I did do a quick search I have recorded various tracks - and had loads of noise issues. In particular I have recorded directly from an old Casio keyboard through the headphone socket and the background hiss is REALLY annoying. I cant find out where the hiss is coming from. HEEEEELP Also I can sometimes hear tracks when they are muted - is this all software problems or hardware?

Telephony
Hi, This sounds as a board(old Casio keyboard) and/or input(headphone socket) issue, specially if it happens on all recordings. Is possible, try to record from a different board using a different computer. Best regards,
kneimond
I would say that you have a bad keyboard output or a bad cable. Doesn't sound like an issue with Mixpad. You may want to try a DI box between your keyboard and the interface to calm down some of the noise, but that probably won't completely solve your problem.
