Size of movie in relation to the screen

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have saved my project as MOV but when I open it (via Windows Media Player or QuickTime Player) it's much smaller than the size of the actual screen (there's a black frame around it).

Is there a way to overcome this?

Thanks in advance!

What resolution did you select? There are many. Also try other output types, other than .mov.

An image whose aspect ratio or size isn't the same as the viewer screen may have black bars at top and bottom, or a frame.

Check the viewer's options. Some allow aspect ratio and size to be changed.

I'm getting the following message:

The Preview (16:9) and and export (4:3) aspect ratios differ.

To make them match, you can crop the edge, or resize to fit.

The preview aspect ratio can be changed in the Options Dialogue.

What do I need to do next? Thanks

You could test both options - CROP or RESIZE - to see if that achieves the desired effect.

Under the OPTIONS|GENERAL menu you can set the preview window to closely match the export resolution/aspect ratio.

Then export should mirror the preview display, and the message you cited won't appear.

Before exporting, SCALE and CROP effects can be utilized to eliminate borders.
