borate
I have videopad with paid license on my old laptop and now I want to transfer it to my new laptop. The (Windows) install file should be available in this folder: c:/program files (x86)/NCH/Videopad Copy it to the laptop, and run it. This caveat, from NCH... "What restrictions apply to the license? If the license is named as an "Installation License" the main restriction is you need to purchase one license serial number for each computer that the program runs on. Can I move the software or reinstall the software in future? Within reason - yes. As long as the software does not continue to run on the old computer you can install the software on a new computer. As a piracy control measure we do limit the number of installations to 2 times in any 12 month period. Note: we do run an anti-piracy system which can detect multiple installs. But as long as the software (with one serial number) runs on one PC at any one time, you will not have problems."
Alexander
I am attempting to do this, however Videopad always installs as an unlicensed product. Any idea how to fix this?
borate
Re-register the program by clicking FILE|RegisterVideopad. The latest version is here. https://www.nchsoftware.com/download/videopadlaunch.exe For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
Gerty84
I bought a licence for video I pad around the price of £40 on my old lap top. Because it broke I got a new laptop. borate
Install Videopad and try to register it. If that fails get in touch with NCH. https://www.nch.com.au/support/reg.html For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.

JohnTolhurst
Hi, I bought a license for Videopad Pro, which is on my daughters' computer. I'm doing the editing now, so I need to move the license to my computer. How do I do that? We both use Windows 10.
borate
Uninstall VP on her PC, install it on yours. If it's been less than six-months since purchase, upgrade to the latest and register your license. Do you expect me to purchase it twice?
borate
Merely a suggestion to Alexander, to check out new features that he might like. Folks who contribute here are mostly users just like yourself.
