mx1001
So ... the only way to crossfade audio between clips A & B is to put A & B in different tracks ? Can't use something similar to this ? http://www.homevideo...g/CrossFade.jpg
borate
Stack and overlap the clips, then to fade from track 1 to track 2 use the TRANSPARENCY video effect applied to track 2 only. To fade back to track one, simply reverse the opacity slope as shown here... <--- as applied to track 2; zero opacity at head and end
mx1001
this is a 2 track workout... So there is no way to do it in 1 track , ..then to fade from track 1 to track 2 use the ..... <--- as applied to track 2; zero opacity at head and end
borate
The method described above would be linear style, to my way of thinking - an A/B roll. VP transition effects can dissolve between clips on a single-track, non-linear style. Click the X in the time line.
mx1001
That's my point ... there's no 'X' in the audio part . The X in the video sections does not affect audio .
borate
Eyes skipped over your word "audio." I spot no way to accomplish an audio crossfade in VP without using an A/B method. If someone else has, they'll chime in...
c_major
We don't have audio transition at the moment but it is an to do item. Yes, have to do it by unlink the audio into separate tracks is awkward.
