TNB
I currently use Open Broadcaster to record my screen for video projects. I have considered using the program available from NCH that allows screen recording but I really just want to figure out this one problem before moving on. When I record in OBS, save the file and open it in VideoPad for editing, the video suffers severe quality loss. I have researched this in the past and only one solution has worked so far considering all of the related topics I've found are two or more years old and so not up-to-date on the current version of VideoPad. The answer I found informed me that exporting as a Video File or to YouTube, I'd merely have to change the setting to YouTube 720 and something else; and though, the quality was considerably less fuzzy for the finalized project than during the editing process, it still was not the original quality I had after I recorded with OBS. I've tried uploading a short video (exactly 3 minutes) with YouTube 1080 and that took a very long time. Hours had gone by after upload that YouTube still was processing the video. I uploaded the same video with YouTube 720 and it worked perfectly. I'm wondering if there are settings that I can change in OBS to make the video file resolution better when I open it in VideoPad but I'm sure VideoPad is the source of the problem. How can I get the best quality with my screen recorded video? Much, Much Appreciated...
borate
Upload a short screen recording captured with OB to a file server, such as One Drive or Drop Box, then link it publicly here. Someone will check it out.
c_major
Hi TNB, It seems that your issues (quality drop and YouTube 1080p uploading) are caused by the bugs we've recently fixed (not released yet). Please wait for a few days for the next release. It should solve both problems. Best Regards,
