Soarchrist
I'm having an issue with my voicemail. The IVM attendant used to be on a different pc in another room, but recently I moved it over to a faster pc and a dedicated connection. The only issue I've had with the new setup is voicemail recording. There is EXCESSIVE noise in the recording making it near impossible to hear the actual message. I've troubleshot (correct wording on that past tense of troubleshoot) a bit and haven't found a clue. I've tried different recording levels, different encoders. I thought maybe the phone line is the problem, but on a regular phone, incoming and outgoing audio is fine. And, the playback is perfect. The same problem occurs when a user calls in a self-records their own greeting. The problem most likely occurs in the hardware, but trust me, there's no 'forum' for my voice modem. WinXP Pro IVM 3.05 (not that I know what that means) SmartLink 56K Modem (with updated drivers) Thanks for any help!! Scott
Soarchrist
I love the reply rate in this forum.... I fixed the problem by switching to a different modem... which really isn't fixing it. However, sound problems are gone and everyone's happier... or nicer to me at least. Scott
Guest buzz
Which modem did you switch to? I'm using a cheapy modem and would like to switch to something better but nothing too expensive.
