rsteff
I have Win2k running in VirtualBox. I have Express Scribe installed and running. I have the foot pedal working. I can play the Welcome file. When I try to load a WMA file I get this error message: Open audio file failed. Where do I start to figure this out? Thanks. rsteff
Googling suggested that I might not have DirectX installed, so I did that. It didn't help. I also tried loading a .wav file. That also didn't help. I didn't mention the version of Express Scribe I'm running: 5.13 Thanks.

That also didn't help. The addition of DirectX did change the behavior of Express Scribe. Now, I don't get an error message. The file shows up in the list, but it has a duration of 0:00.
