transition overlay from one sequence to the next?

Hi there,

 

I'm wanting to take a sequence clip & overlap it over the end of my first sequence clip (kind've like you can do in Moviemaker)

so that when the first sequence ends you start seeing the 2nd sequence's actions translucently overcome the first sequence until

finally appearing solid when the first sequence completely ends.

 

However, if I try to do it how I knew to do it in Moviemaker, by dragging the clip a little bit to the left overlapping the first

clip's end, it just bounces back and doesn't let me do it. Is there a way to do this in Videopad? If so, how?
