  1. That works! thanks. Although, it kinda sucks I have to go through that whole process. Do you know why the original AVI file video part plays slowly? Is there a way to fix that without having to convert to anything I wonder.. Anyways, thanks for the workaround.
  2. Well, I tried converting the AVI into an MPEG2 and, for some reason, it also gets rid of the sound when I put into the timeline into VP. Not sure why all the conversions I'm trying are getting rid of the sound layer?! any idea why? I notice though that the video runs smoothy when it's an mpeg2 though. Now if I could get the sound to just stay with it....
  3. Actually, this is an .AVI clip. Also, strangely, it's not really that long, maybe a couple minutes long. I recorded it off of a lil' Insignia HD cam and just copied over the clip to a folder and then into VP. Should I convert the AVI to an MPEG2?? I tried converting it to an MP4 and a WMV already but that for some reason, got rid of the sound when trying those two formats.
  4. Hi there, I imported a video clip into my timeline, but when I play the video, the video in the preview box at the top can't keep up with the audio track (the audio is part of the video clip) and it moves really really slow. Anybody know why it's doing this? Do I have to change a setting somewhere or what?
  5. Hi there, I am trying to figure out how to make like a news program type of video, and I want like an animated spinning earth in the upper left-hand corner of the screen as the newscaster talks (the newscaster and his background world will be reality footage) but the spinning earth will be animated graphic. My questions are: 1. Can Videopad import an animated graphic as described & placed in a specific area of the viewscreen? and 2. What program do I use to design the spinning earth graphic? Flash? something else? and finally, 3. What are the steps or what should i know technically to get it imported, moved around, etc. in Videopad? If anybody has some knowledge with mixing animated stuff with real footage, i'd really appreciate the help,
  6. Hi there, I'm wanting to take a sequence clip & overlap it over the end of my first sequence clip (kind've like you can do in Moviemaker) so that when the first sequence ends you start seeing the 2nd sequence's actions translucently overcome the first sequence until finally appearing solid when the first sequence completely ends. However, if I try to do it how I knew to do it in Moviemaker, by dragging the clip a little bit to the left overlapping the first clip's end, it just bounces back and doesn't let me do it. Is there a way to do this in Videopad? If so, how?
