  1. I had them un checked a long time ago but I re-purchased the software so maybe that is why they were checked, anyway I will see what I can do about the file sharing but making that one change did help a bit, the videos are mp4 files.
  2. I tried that and it did help however the time and stalling is a lot different than I remember. In addition the audio normalizing check marks are 're-checked' you may want to pass that on to development, they were to leave those normalizing items un-checked on new releases...
  3. I did not change anything from stock I will look and see, the PC is a few years old it is a core i7 - 6700 / 16gb ddr4 RAM / AMD FirePro W4100 graphics card and Gigabyte Brand Gaming 5 MB ---The settings are set to "Default" the next is "CPU" then "AMD FirePro W4100
  4. Borate: It is exporting, but it does take about 20 mins or so. I do not think there is anything 'wrong' but it takes very long now and I do not know why when auto detect is selected, the file was 27 mins long maybe that had something to do with it?
  5. Same issue on the latest version as of 3/18/2023, unable to create in auto detect mode.
  6. I re-purchased 13.09 and it will not export a video project, I just see the 'pending' box and nothing happens, should I try getting a new version? It's a Windows 10 OS. Update. I do see it exporting, it is taking about 30 mins not 15 secs like normal, I did select auto detect as well but this is not normal at all.... The file it generated is 1kb in size and obviously will not play... so I guess it is not exporting. Normally this takes 10 secs on auto detect but this new version 13.09 is clearly not working on this Windows 10 pc...
  7. That solved it, thanks for finding that, I selected my video in the bin, right clicked then went down to select the stream and then the audio track came back!!!
  8. Just downloaded new version 11.17 (Jan 22, 2022) I think to fix the mono audio export bug on lossless exports, now the software is not prompting me to select the audio 'stream' number to use. I have to have this or the audio track is not decoded on the video. How do you get the software to prompt the question on what stream to use like it use to?
  9. I am having the same issue, the output file is in mono even though the original is stereo it only happens in lossless (what you want) on vs 10.96 I will download the latest version and try again! Glad this was talked about already.
  10. Yes the files play regardless, but I do not use wmp anymore as its non functional after the 10.96 version (for what ever reason). When I create a file export using lossless vs re-encoding and look at the properties of each, the lossless file shows a significant drop in file size, for example if a file is 900MB stock, you do nothing to it, re-save it using lossless it drops to say 600MB lossless and the one you chose to re-encode meaning its not lossless hows the 900MB file size in tact. Is that normal? Seems backwards. Why would lossless encoding drop information. I may need to do more testing to verify this. But I wanted to ask if I am looking at things correctly.
  11. Borate: If you do a test and save the same video edits and use lossless for one and check re-encoding (lossless off) for the other file, why does the lossless file result in a file nearly 40% less in size, along with a bit rate that is reduced as well? I would have thought it would be the other way around...???
  12. SOLVED: Update on the 10.96 videopad. The new software will not play in windows media player here, you have to use VLC and to get the video thumbnails back you have to downlod K-Lite Codec Pack Standard (use official sites only). Then I can play the edited videos from videopad and see the thumbnails, but neither work in WMP now with new 10.96 version.
  13. I did delete all the files in the first list you mentioned above, I read all the forum posts before joining because of issues I needed more help on. Are you saying you want to see the project or the video when created? I am not clear on what is being asked, but everything looks fine it just does not play locally now on my pc but it looks fine on youtube for what ever reason as my tests show. I also did submit a bug report on the audio aliasing oddity with the new wavpad I downloaded. Very odd.
  14. Update on test. I uploaded the same video used for this test using the 10.96 version that shows black screen locally on my PC verses the older 8.xx that I can see locally to test if youtube would see this 'black screen', it does not. So, from the older version of Videopad version 8.xx I was using I can see the videos locally but now I can not with 10.96. Any ideas on what to look for, maybe I need to put something in my component file? I would prefer not to migrate from wmp. Tried shutting off active accelerator in wmp that did not fix it, also looked at the video details, version 8.xx shows 25000kbps and version 10.96 shows 17000kbps is the only difference I see.
  15. Completed testing and re-starting PC. Tried multiple projects saved from prior version 8.xx and re-exported them using the same settings and no matter what I do, the exported files (all using off-re-encoded) generate a video with no video, its only audio and the thumbnail is a generic icon for windows media player. Use to work just fine with prior version 8.xx any ideas what changed? Maybe some file like 'components' is messed up? I should have said, I am on Windows7 is this vs10.96 compatible with that? If not, can I go back to what was working 8.xx?
  16. Thanks, for what it is worth, the project that was saved with the older vs 8.XX was loaded directly with my new vs10.96 I think it is and the file it generates no matter what is just a black video with sound. This is under all the combinations of settings on export "off re-encoded"
  17. Can you use this for MP4 files or are they not eligible for lossless export? I have never been able to use lossless export, when I do get a file created, it crashes windows media player after about 6 secs of playing the video. Very odd. If you go to file and use lossless export, my settings are grey'd out, if I use export file then the settings are there. I just tried those instructions and the file was generated but Windows Media Player does not render the video, it plays the sound with no video, it is just black...?
  18. Downloaded new version of WavePad Masters Edition Nov 2021. When I open a .wav it sounds fine, until you touch any section of the envelope- then entire file then sounds low quality and has that junk audio aliasing low bit rate sound to it. The older version never did this. Any ideas? I have been though all the tabs and can not see anything that is causing this.
  19. I am getting audio aliasing after I open a wav file- At first the envelope plays and sounds good until I touch the waveform anywhere, literally just touch a section with the mouse. After that you can hear the sound quality drop dramatically, this is a new download and paid version of Wavepad Master Edition Nov 2021. Was hoping to see more about this lower quality audio problem...???
  20. SOLVED- the problem that no one is addressing: you must get the software to ask you what stream you want, I found "I" had to select 'stream 2' because I was selecting Stream 1 and then it all worked again. Second issue after downloading new 10.36 version is the audio tracks are too loud, you must go under Options, Media and uncheck the auto normalizing function, for some reason they have those checked and it screws up the recorded levels. I am now having audio aliasing issues in Wavepad so I am off to that forum. Good luck who ever reads this.
